PROGRESS IN THE EAST AND WEST. LONDON, April 13 (1.15 a.m.) At Les Eparge-s on Sunday night, after a cannonade and fusillade, a German counter-attack was repulsed. Heavy artillery actions have been fought in the wood of Ailly and in the region of Flirey. In an action in the wood of Lo Pretra on Sunday the enemy was easily checked. In the Carpathians, in tho direction of Rostak, on Saturday, tho Russians repulsed by fire, at a short range, repeated attacks by great enemy forces, and progressed. A violent battle has developer! in the region of the Uzsok Pass, which the enemy still hold. The Russians took 700 prisoners and three guns. In the direction of -Stry the enemy’s attacks were repulsed and enormous' losses inflicted.
