Signed by 401 members of,the British Parliament, a petition has been presented lo the Prime Minister asking for a rebearing of the ca3e of Mr Aylmer Cameron, who underwent two years' penal servitude rather than give evidence on his own behalf which might have prejudiced his wife. Mr Cameron, who was a lieutenant of the Royal Artillery, and his wife were convicted in 1911 of fradulently claiming £6,500 insurance on a pearl necklace which Mrs Cameron said had been stolen from her, but which she never even possessed. Before the trial certain facts come into Mr Cameron's possession which showed that his wife had been deceiving him all along, but he refused, against the advice of his friends and legal advisers, lo use this information. Since then his Innocence has been more fully proved by i detailed confession made <by Mis £*mercn, which showed that he was eni&n&s ignorant of her fraud.
