The annual meeting of the above cluh was held in «be local Conned Hall last evening, about 40 members attending.. lh W. Thompson (a vice-president), presided. A largo expenditure had been incurred during last season in the procuring of new material, new mat, new mower, etc. in# especial thanks of the club were due to Mr A: Kelson, who devoted so much tinu and energy to the improvement of Culling Park.—The report was adopted. A letter from the Umpires' Association referring to the appointment of umpires for the different matches was referred to the incoming committee- , . The election of officers resulted as follows :—Patrons, Messrs W. Dawe and C. H. Street; president, Mr W. T. MTar. lane; vice-presidents—Messrs J. Jffen, J. Harris, W. Thompson, A. H. Allen, D. C, Cameron, J. B. Dick, and J. Ledgerwood ; auditors, Messrs J. Harris and W. Thompson; secretary, Mr A. E. W yatt; treasurer. Mr A. Nelson; delegate to 0.C.A., Mr A. Nelson; club captain. Mi M'Cartpn: deputy captain, Mr A. Chambers; Selection Committee—Messrs A. King, T. Livingstone, and P. Edwards; Ground Committee, Messrs A- Kelson and L. Edwards, sen.; General CommitteeMessrs Harvey, M'Carten, King, Ken, and L. Edwards, sen. It was resolved to enter a team for the senior competition, and teams for the junior and third grade competitions. Opening day was fixed for the second Saturday in October. It being mentioned that one of the cluh memßers (Trooper Lawrence) was about to leave with the Expeditionary Forciv ... subscription was taken up and a fair amount gathered to purchase a wristlet watch for him.
