The cause of the brief failure of the electric light in town just after 6 last night was curious, A motorman on one of the cars was lifting an iron perambulator into the front compartment, when jfc came into contact with the terminal of the trolly wire and the controller, causing the generator circuit breakers at the converter station to come out. The net result, of course, was a ’Short circuit, and the man at Waipori shut off the currant over the whole hue. This is the sort of mishap < that might not happen once _in many years, for the terminal with which the perambulator came in contact is just a screw. Waipori was off for five minutes, and the current to the tramways for 12 minutes.
