FINDING FORM. NEW ZEALANiTbOWLERS WIN. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, July 6.
The Now Zealand howlers defeated the Waverley Club by 10 points in a match of six rijiEs a side. The ground was still suffering considerably from the recent rains, and was too slow and heavy, but tho weather was excellent and the play was first-class. The New' Zealanders’ form was much superior to that in evidence on Saturday. On each rink the Maorilandere played a good game. The closest play was seen on the rink where Coltraau was skip, and the easiest victory for the New Zealanders was achieved on Shearman’s rink. Through out the game the visitors were leading, nncl there was never much doubt that the final issue would Ire in their favor, though Waverley held up their end sufficiently to make it a close and exciting finish.. Scores of tho New Zealand rinks;-
Hyams, Reid, Bush, Mason ... 26 Potter, Columb, Parkinson, Coltman... 22 Pavitt, Duncan, Nixon, Thompson ... 17 M'Ardle, Cole, Tasker, Nash 9 Lewis, Parkinson, Marker. Shearman 27 Creagh, Smith, Dale, Sutcliffe 25
Final scores: New Zealand, 126; Waverloy, 116. Tho general level of the New Zealanders’ play has improved. It was keener ; and more judgment and initiative were slimvn, while the all-round combination was better.
Tho team will leave for the Queensland tour on Wednesday.
