(Received June 8, at 10.30 a.m.) A Presidential Decree imposes the death penalty on officials accepting a bribe to effect a miscarriage of justice. Lesser bribery offences wUI entail banishment to unhealthy districts. The death pepalty will be inflicted on official em&ezzlers of £SOO and upwards. The Government intend to prohibit native Christians from street preaching, fearing a spread of treason.
