The last letter Colonel Bloomfield wrote was received by a Vancouver Cadet. Mr Bloomfield was on the point of departure, and cave his impressions of the Rocky Mountain's scenery and a visit to the Ottawa House of Commons. He closed by stating how eagerly he and lu'e family were anticipating the sights of London, at the same time thanking his Vancouver friend's for their hospitality during his stay with them. Commissioner Maekie has arrived to act as General Booth's personal representative and to take charge of the Salvation Army affairs. He asserts that the terrible loss«; sustained by the Army are a direct criticism from Heaven. The Army will endeavor to find out what wer© the faults which had caused them to receive the Divine rebuke.
