At a meeting of the Wellington Association of Women Teachers on Friday evening the following resolution was carried : "That the power of appointing teachers be removed from committees and vested in education boards and inspectors, pending the appointment of an administrative council of education." The Wellington Electrical Workers' Union have decided not to participate in the July Labor Conference. During their week's holiday tho primary school boy members of the Y.M-C.A. visited Messrs Thomson and Co.'s cordial manufactory, Sargaod's boot factory, and Shacklack's foundry, where they took an intelligent interest in all they saw.
