The dxtli annual and championship trials concluded this forenoon, -when the <x>nsolation event, which was commenced la to on Saturday, was finished. Thera were 16 entries, and the results were atf follows : —T. H. Bennett's Gale, 82 pointy i t J. B. Purdue's K>.p, 77 points, 2; R. W. Trotter's Storm, 76 paints, 3; J. W. A jumping contest "was held em Saturday afternoon, in which ihsm were 13 entries. Some .good jumping resulted as follows:—H. Gouriey 1, J- Brown. 2, A. lias tie 3.

The sheep -guessing on Friday was won. by Mr T. Gouriey, who guessed within of the correct weight. Saturday's sheep-guessing resulted in the following tying for first prize:—Mrs Wm, Blaekie, Messrs A. Scott, R. Smeaion, L. L. Christie, W. J. Keid, Jolm Mee, John Miller.

The judge, competitors, and audiencs were all loud in their- praises as to the manner in which the sheep worked. The sheep were excellent for .the purpose. They were lent by Messrs Boyd Bros. At the conclusion the judge' remarked that tho dogs, apparently owing to the cold, ran a trifle wild. Some good heads were made, but not what was expected from the dogs.
