ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
An Auckland telegram states that Albert N. Osborne, a resident cf Trythena, Great Barrier, was drowned on Saturdav night by the capsizing of a boat. At Lake Coleridge on Saturday Mrs Branmer was thrown out of a dray, the wheel of which passed over her stomach. She was removed to the hospital in a serious condition.
On Saturday evening Thomas O'Mallev, a watersider, fell off th<s wharf at Lytte-lton, striking the hull of the Wahine as he fell. His body was not recovered tiU the vessel had sailed. At tho inquest a verdict of accidental death by drowning was returned.—Christchurch wire.
GORED BY A BULL. A Whangarei message states tliat Mr M. H. Hutchinson, one of the oldest settlers in the district, was found dead in a paddock yesterday, gored by a bull. The deceased was ei-presideut of the Whangarei A. «Mid P. Society, and was «. well-known stock breeder.
