MEETINGS AND SOCIALS

SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. The annual concert of the Abbotsford Sunday School was held on Wednesday. The children had been carefully trained by Mr Westfield, Mies Kerr (organist), and others-, and a lengthy programme was gone through. The Rev/ F. Frost was chairman, and after a few remarks called upon the childi»3n to render their piecee. Thcitems were well executed, and a most enjoyable evening was spent. The following was the programme :— Opening anthem, 'The Sunday "School Army,' by the children; duet. Nessic Taylor and Olive Wilden; recitation, Vida M'Ahan; dialogue, Doris and Archie Taylor; violin solo, H. Harrison ; recitation, Grace Delhi; action song, 'The Rainbow,' seven girls; recitation, Clover and Edith Park; dialogue, N. Taylor and 0. Wilden; recitation, Myrtle'Wright; recitations, Hilda Knox; action song, Alma, Daiey, and Nellie Kenyon; recitation, Mr Purvis; solo, Eric Jackson; anthem, 'Light of Life'; dialogue, M. Crawford and party; recitation, Agnes Barnes ; solo, N. _ Taylor; mandolin solo, Mr Spronle; action song, The Sowers'; solo, O. Wilden; recitation, Doris Park; duet-, Grace. Dei hi, and Mary M'Kinky ; anthem, ' Stand Up for Jems.' At the conclusion of the programme Mr ■Frost- congratulated the children on their splendid work, and then presented the prizes for attendance, etc., during the year. Votes of thanks were, heartily carried to Mr Westfield and his helpers.
