The monthly meeting of the Societv for the Protection of Women and Children was held on Thursday; present—the Rev. Canon Curzon-Siggers (president, in thi chair), Mr J. M. Gallaway, Mr D. Wright, Rev. V. B. King, Mesdaraes Ewen, Jackson, Gordon, Ansell, Davey, Miss Runciman, and Dr E. Siedeberg. Correspon« dene* wa> read and dealt with, power ti act being granted in several cases.
