ROSLYN BAND OF HOPE
The Roslyn Band of Hope held thenweekly meeting in the Baptist Church on Friday. The programme was opened by Miss Lama Cunningham with a recitation entitled ' The Collier's Dying Child.' _ Miss Bessie Garrick rendered ' Ora Pro Nobis, and Miss Vera Gordon lecited 'Which Shall It Be?' Mr Duncan Wright was the speaker for the evening. He told the children never to bo afraid to do tho ri»'bt, and gave two illustrations to emphasise his point. Master H. Smith gave a Ante solo, and Miss Eva Ramsay sang "A Perfect j)nv.' Miss Peilett, acted as accompanist. A dialogue entitled 'ln a Dilemma' was contributed by Mr and Miss Winder. The church choir, undejr the baton of Mr J. Dixon, rendered that most appropriate anthem 'Onward/ which elosed the programme. The attendance was well maintained, 123 being present at this meeting.
