THE COLORADO STRIKE
ANOTHER BATTLE AND A VAIN APPEAL. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. DENVER (Colorado), April 27. The Trinidad (Colorado) strikers and the guards of the mines fought a battle near Walzenburg, in which one man was killed and several buildings were burnt. Appeals for Federal troops to suppress the riots are fruitless, as the Government require all the available men for Mexico. Mr J. D. Rockefeller has so far refused to intimate whether he would use his influence to restore peace.
