O.R.P.V. The weekly meeting of the O.R.F.U. Committee was held last evening, and attended by Messrs Harris (in the chair), Cavanagh, Nelson, Sandes, Brown, Stuart, Dunne, M‘Taggart, White, Wilson, Low, Morgan, Sinclair, Priest, and Dr Evans. Applications for footballs were received from various country schools, and those, together with others previously received, were held over pending replies from the sub-unions, who had been asked whether they would he prepared to supply footballs to the schools in their respective districts. The North Otago Sub-union wrote stating that it was their intention to ask the Canterbury Union to allow their Junior team, who play Otago in, Dunedin this season, to break their Journey at Oamaru and play a North Otago team, and asking the co-operation of the Otago Union in this arrangement. —Resolved to act in accordance with the request. The Tuapeka Sub-union wrote asking that a team he brought from their district to play in Dunedin.—Sub-union to be informed that the only arrangement the committee have made is to bring the Maniototo-Vincent team down on June 3, hut that, should it_ be decided, to play further matches with country teams," the Tuapeka’s application will be considered. The Citizens’ Garden Fete Society wrote notifying that a sum of £ls had been allocated for the improvement of the football ground at Bathgate Park, provided a similar amount, or more, is found for the work by the union or the club concerned.—Received. The Alhambra Club were granted a sum of £lO for building improvements on the Opoho ground. It was resolved that two delegates be sent from Dunedin to the annual meeting of the Now Zealand Rugby Union, the appointment to be left to the chairman.

Messrs R. Isaacs, P. S. K. Macassey, and J. Torrance were appointed the union’s delegates in Wellington, to act with the two from Otago.

The secretary was instructed to write requesting an explanation from certain players who had been chosen to play in the" North v. South match last Saturday, hut who had neither put in an appearance nor notified their inability to play. Messrs H. Harris, A. M‘Donaid, and W. Brown were elected, on a ballot, a Selection Committee for representative matches during the current season. Messrs Dunne and M'Kenzie were also nominated.

In reference to the Wednesday Association’s inquiry as to terms for the use of the Caledonian Ground, it wae announced ■that the sub-committee would confer with the Wednesday Association. In respect to the Mornington Club’s intimation that Kelly and A. Campbell had not obtained clearances, Kelly was granted a clearance. It was pointed out that Campbell’s subscription to Mornington was not payable until June 50- In the meantime he might play for Ravenshouxne, but he would be liable for Ids subscription to Mornington. H. Venn on was given permission to register for Roslyn-Wakari, subject to his being financial with tho Mornington Club, Mosgiel Rangers’ colors (royal blue) and Normality North-end’s colors (red and white) were approved. The Mornington Club applied for permission to train .on the Caledonian Ground on Thursday evening.—As the ground is engaged on that evening Mornington to he recommended to apply for another night. It was decided to challenge Canterbury for the Brown Shield. It was decided to issue hon. members’ tickets at 10s 6d per annum. It was decided to approach the Tramway Committee to provide a better service to the grounds. It was resolved to thank Mr Allnutt for the services of the. Kaikorai School Band.
