ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
An Auckland wire says.: John Irvine, a laborer, was drowned in Iho harbor on Saturday evening through falling from n dinghy anchored near th© rteanver HauHo was in company with two brothers named Lynch. The" dinghy was rocked by a wave, and Irvine, becoming excited, stood up. The dinghy capsized. A lifebuoy was thrown from the. Hauroto. and the hulk-keeper hurried to the men's assistance m a boat. Irvine was drowned. The Lynch brothei's. who had done their best to save their companion, were picked up by a launch. A Wellington message .states that at the inquest on Trofford Patereon, who was seized with a fit while working in a coal hulk on Tuesday last, and who died. the. same evening, the medical evidence showed that the deoe.ased ruptured an artcrv on the outside cf the brain. A verdict" was returned that death was due to cerebral hemorrhage.
