ORDER OF RECHABITES
There was a eood attendance of members of the Pride of Roslyn Tent at tho meeting hold last Thursday in the Roslvn Baptist Schoolroom. C.R-. Bro. A. Gi'bb presided, and the judges of the competitor; for the. best-conducted tent in the subdistrict being present, the initiation ceremony was carried out, tho officers giving a very creditable rendering. After correspondence and other business had been dealt with, P.C.It. Bro. Gillespie was heartily thanked for the presentation of n- piece of tent furniture. Tho good wishes of tho membeiß for his future success were accorded the same brother, who is removing to the North Island. Bro. Gillespie feelingly responded. P.C.R. Bro. Asher (Port Chalmers). P.P.C.R. Bro. Farrant (Hope of Dunedin), and Bro. Goatham (Star of the South) responded oh behalf of the visitors'. A pleasant game of cards terminated the evening. The Rose of Roslyn Juvenile Tent held their fortnightly meeting in the above hall on the same date, Clt. Bro. Davis presiding. There was only a small attendance of members, owing to other attractions in the district. The business was quickly disposed of, and the syllabus item 'Book Evening' was held, after which games were indulged in.
