The 'Frankfurter Zeitung' chronicles an interesting discovery made in an examination by Professor Mehring of the bindings of the volumes in the State archives at .Stuttgart. Inside the covers of an old Wurtemberg manuscript containing an inventory of Church property, and dated 1468, was found a double sheet of parchment, containing a "Tristan" text different from all known versions of- the story. Professor Mehring thinks that the manuscript was probably the property of the Kirchberg Convent, near Renfrizhausen.—Central News.
