TO THE EDITOR. Sir.--Allow me a .short fcpaeo in your columns re chemists' assistants' time'and wage*. Why is it that tho working man o< to-day works 44 hours a week, with an average wage of £5 per week, while chemists' .assistants, whose average is 52 hours per week, receive only from 30s to £2 weekly? Is it not time "that chemists' assistants formed a union, so as to better their interests as to working hours and wages?- I am, etc., I'nnTiir.n Pii.l. November 18.
