It was decided at the Boxing Conference that power shall be given to the referee to have a contestant who is counted out as the result of a blow which in the referee’s opinion is foul, and which the referee was unable to see struck, examined by a doctcr ; and if the claim of a foul is upheld such contestant shall be awarded the contest. The definition of a “knock out” has been made to include the stopping of a contest by any official owing to one of the contestants being considered in an unfit condition to continue.

The amended rules come into operation on Ist November.
