VILLAGE FAIR AT ST. CLAIR
Tills evening, at a quarter to eight-, the Old knghsh village fair is to lie opened in the bt. Chirr Pavilion. It is promoted bv the bi- Clair Congregational Church in aid of its funds. Preparations have boon going on for months, and the (nun of the work is a display that combines the usei i ; in The pavilion is tastefully decorated for the occasion, and the stalls are such as to gratifv the eve and coax the money out of the people s Pockets. Mrs Smith; produce stall, Mre Jeffcont; flower stall, Mrs Marriage; refreshment sunl, Mrs Dick and Mrs Kahlcnborc; Christmas tree, Miss Jolly and Miss Smith ; art gallery, Miss Stark and Miss 'Vlnle; Aunt Sally, Mr H. Howard; shooting gallery, Mr J. W. Smith ; village pump, Rev. W. J. Ashford. The entertainment side of the fair promises to be important and varied. Some of the nttrnctions are enumerated above, and in addition there is to bo singing by the Mormngton Methodist Choir. 'The fair will be open up to Thursday night.
