[Per United Press Association.]

WELLINGTON, October 7. The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Westport Harbor continued its sittings today. Mr Wilson, solicitor, of Westport, stated that his wife bought Mr Colvin’s pastoral lease, which he sold to Egan, paying £Boo.—Mr Gillon, manager of the Railway Workshops at Hillcrsden, considered that the board’s management of the workshops and railway line was grossly extravagant. Where the Railways employed seven men on ballasting and maintenance, the Harbor Board employed 18. He had seen 16 men on the. pontoon, the men standing in each other's way,—Mr Waldie, inspecting officer in the Public Works Department, stated that, the Board owed the Consolidated Fund £145,500, on which no interest apparently been paid, and there was only £IB,OOO odd in the Treasury towards repayment of the amount.
