James Flanagan, for many years an energetic missioner among the poor children in the East End of Ixmdon, left London for Wellington by the Remuera last week. , Two of the Dominion’s best-known handicappers—Messrs J. E. Hcurys and H. Rrinkman—arc at present in town. At the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Dalton Lodge, M.U.. held at Balclutha on Tuesday evening, P.P.G.M. Bro. C. J. Wood and P.G. Bro. T. A. Johnston were appointed delegates to represent the lodge at the district meeting to be held in Dunedin on the 26th inst.
