WELLINGTON, August 21. The Public Service Commissioners state in their preface to the provisional classification of the Public Servico (except the Post ancfe Telegraph Department) that the classification is effective as from April 1 last, with the exception that cadets and a £mall number of junior clerks, whose salaries have been adjusted to enable them to fall in with the regular step on April \, 1914, will not be regarded as finally Jiassified until that date.
