He ordered Air Miller to withdraw the remark, but the member claimed that his request was a fair one. Mr Thrower threatened to report the matter to the Speaker, and as Mr Miller refused to withdraw the words on the Deputy Chairman's order the ser-geant-at-arms removed him. A NARROW MARGIN. SYDNEY, August 21. (Received August 21, at 9.55 a.m.) The Cabinet has approved the £3,000,000 railway construction scheme of Messrs Norton, Griffiths, and Co., subject to Parliament's endorsement. In the Assembly the Government secured the reintroductlon of the State Ironworks Bill by the narrow majority of two Independents.
