FLOWER SHOW

AT BURNS HALL. The third anual flower show conducted by the First Church Young Women’s Club was held in Bums Hall last evening. There was a large attendance, and most of the flowers and confectionery were sold, ihe proceeds of the show are in aid of the Presbyterian Orphanage. There was an excellent display of all kinds of flowers and foliage, the color and autumn tints of which were very fine. Mr and Mrs E. A. Hamel adjudicated in the flower section. In addition to the exhibits forwarded for competition, three tables had been arranged with chrysanthemums, these flowers being donated by the friends of the church. During the evening Mr D. Tannock gave an interesting and instructive lertme on ‘The Chrysanthemum,’ and Mxs'Begg’s orchestra contributed musical items.
