Much enthusiasm is being shown at St. Kilda in the Union Fete and Fair to be held next week in the Coionat.on and adjoining halls. The Dunedin Highland Pipe and most of the biaes bands of the City will assist. The children's choir competitions and tho tugs-of-war between State school teams are creating much interest, and it is confidently anticipated that the fete will prove a success. The programme includes the name of Mrs Monkman-Demp-ster and other well-lcnown vocalists. The fete ia to be opened on Wednesday afternoon by Mr. T. K. Sidey, who will be assisted by the Mayor of St. Kilda. Full b© advertised next week.
