REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION. The annual report of the New Zealand Referees’ Association, to be presented at the annual meeting at Wellington to-mor-row, states that the past season has been one of continued success in the affairs of association. At present there are 20 active associations affiliated, and it is likely that several new associations will apply for affiliation shortly. Thus practically the whole of the active Rugby referees in New' Zealand are now banded together for mutual support and advancement. The finances of the association, it is reported, are still in a sound portion. The association have now been a self-sup-porting institution for several years past, and the balance of assets over liabilities of £3l Is lOd must be considered as satisfactory.
