SARGOOD'S COMBINED FACTORIES. About 200 employees of Sargood, Son, and Ewen’s combined factories braved the adverse, weather conditions of Dunedin and founu it fine at Hingatui, the racecouiee being placed at their disposal by the Dunedin Jockey Club. A very enjoyable day was spent. Toys in abundance were distributed among the children, sweets were given, and races arranged. 'the committee—Messrs IV. Palmer (chairman), F. Jones. R. Tinder. IE E. A waltzing competition was held during the afternoon, which was won hv Miss Sutherland and Mi- IV. Colo. Mr Palmer acted as starter, and the judging was again in the capable hands of Mr C. S. Spaul. The party left for home at 5.50 p.m.
