Fined for exceeding tho speed limit while taking an injured person to the hospital, Guy Chambers, a Detroit ambulance man, recently proceeded to get even with his captor by lodging information against him for a similar offence, and the result of tho case came as a thunderbolt to the police, for the Judge, in fining the officer, laid it down that the police have no more right to exceed the speed limit than ' anyone else. The Police Commissioner, who is very proud of his automobile deteachment, protested against the decision, but the Judge, in giving judgment against Chambers's captor, said : "We are living under a government of law, not men. One man, whether uniformed or in civilian clothes, is just as amenable to the law as another man." Various clubs are now energetically laying ,traps for scorchmggoliceinen.
