ST. MARTIN’S CLUB. The third animal meeting of (he above club took place last; evening in St. Martin s Schoolroom, and was attended by a large number of members, (ho Rev. 'W. H. Roberts presiding. In moving the adoption of the annual report, the Chairman said tiro club had had a very satisfactory season, especially the senior eleven, who played very consistently, and he hoped that the club would do even better this year. The' balance sheet ' showed that the club was in a-good position financially, there being a credit of £3 4s Id, which must be considered satisfactory, as there was a heavy expense to be met with last year. A concert was held last year to swell the club s funds, and was a great- success, and the thanks of tho club arc due to all those who assisted. Mr Frank Drake spoke in eulogistic tci ins of the good work done hv the secretary (Mr A. Payne), who had worked very hard tor the welfare of the chib. It was due to him that the club flourished so well ra - ki a good financial position. The Chairman also spoke in regard to the splendid work done by Mr Payne. The meeting concluded with a hearty vote oi thanks to the chairman, who wished the club every success and prosperity for the forthcoming season, OTAGO LADIES’ CLUB. The annual meeting of the above club na-s held in the Octagon Tea Rooms last evening, when there was a good attendance of members. In (lie absence of the president (Airs R, Hudson) JMies X. Cowie was in the chair. The report and balance-sheet were submitted, and it was pleasing to note that the finances of the chib are in a good position, notwithstanding the heavy giouucl rent, etc._ Regret was expressed at the loss of Miss Jacobs’s services as secretary, she having ably held that position for the last three years.
