Northern Ports (overland). —6.30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 10.30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Christchurch and Intermediate Towns.— (overland). —6.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. at the C.P.0.; late letters, 7.40 a.m. and 8 a.m. (train), 10.45 a.m. and 11.15 a.m. (train). Invercargill and Intermediate Towns.— 7.30 a.m. and 3.45 p.m. at the C.P.0.; late letters 8 a.m. and 8.20 a.m. (train), 4 p.m. and 4.25 p.m. (train). For Cromarty, Pnysegur Point, and Te Oneroa.—Per Invercargill, at 5.45 p.m. to-morrow. Late-fee letters, guard’s van at 4.25 p.m. For United Kingdom (due London April 25j and Australian States and New Guinea (via Wellington), Continent of Europe, Ceylon, India, Japan, China, Straits Settlements, Mauritius, South Africa, Mediterranean ports, etc.—Per north exexpress, at 10 a.m. to-morrow. Late letters may be posted at C.P.O. till 10.30 a.m., and. on guard’s van till 11.15 a.m. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, etc., via Montevideo, Teneriffe, and Rio de Janeiro (due in London May 2). —Per north express, at 6.30 a.m. tomorrow. Correspondence for the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe must be specially addressed “ Per Arawa.” EASTER HOLIDAYS. Good Friday, March 21, will be observed as a Sunday. All mails despatched on Good Friday, 21st, will be closed at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 20. The City and suburban receiving boxes will be cleared at 6 p.m. on Thursday, the 20th, instead of at midnight. A counter delivery of the City and surburban letters will be made at the Chief Post Office between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. SATURDAY, MARCH 22. Mails will be despatched as usual. Two full deliveries will be made by the lettercarriers, at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Also a delivery of the City and suburban correspondence over the counter at the Chief Post Office between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
