COST OF LIVING IN SYDNEY. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 6. (Received January 7, at 10.20 a.m.) A correspondent in Sydney, writing to tho ‘Daily Chronicle’ concerning Mr Spence's report (which asserted that the cost of-living in England was much .greater than in Sydney), says it is grossly misleading and untrue, and amounts to cruelty to intending emigrants. He quotes figures to show that the cost of living in Sydney is continually rising.
