WHO SHOULD RE FLOGGED?

These people have chares in industrial enterprises which employ women, and girls. Thousands of these women and girls got wages which arc insufficient to support them, and are treated with less personal respect than any common street-walker. You, humhlo reader, who are neither a shareholder nor a landlord, do you thank God that you are guiltless in this matter? Take care. The first man Hogged under the Act may turn on you, and say: ‘God shall smite thee, thou whited walk’ The wages of infamy are stitched into your buttonholes and into your blouse, pasted into your matchboxes and your boxes of pins, Muffed into your mattresses, mixed with the paint on your walks and 'stuck between, the joints of your water jrrpes,”
