Progress, Moura Taviuni (steam). ' ' Warrimoo, s.s., arrived a little after noon to-day from Sydney via Cook Strait, after being delayed at the Heads by fog. She sails to-morrow for the Bluff and Melbourne. Kowhai, s.s., leaves here on Wednesday for Napier and Gisborne via ports. Pukaki, s.s., leaves on Thursday for the West Coast via time-table ports. The Arahura xvas to leave Lvttelton at noon to-day for Wellington to resume her West Coast running. The Monowai and Te Anau are both being used for the ferry service to-night. Aparima, s.s., is expected to get awav from Timaru to-night, and is due here to-morrow morning. She leaves about Thursday for the Bluff and Newcastle. Wanaka, s.s., leaves on Friday for the Bluff, Oamaru, and Timaru to load for Auckland. Whangape, s.s., goes to Port Chalmers on Monday for overhaul. Kauri, s.s., will probably resume running towards the end of next week. The Wellington-Lyttelton ferry, boats and the Monowai were delayed outside Lvttelton Heads this morninrj'by fog. Paparoa, s.s., is clue tomorrow at Port Chalmers for loading. Nairnshire, s.s., was to leave Lyttelton at noon to-day, and is due here to-morrow afternoon. Zealandic, s.s., which is loading a very large consignment of wool at Port Chaimers, will leave to-morrow mornino- for Timaru and Wellington. * Tarawera, s.s., is due here to-morrow from Auckland via East Coast ports. She leaves on Tuesdav on the return trip Ulimaroa, ss, is due at the Bluff on Monday, and here on Tuesday. MONOWAI GETS FIREMEN. The Monowai, which was to have Failed from Port Chalmers for Auckland via East Coast ports on the arrival of the 2.30 train from Dunedin, was stuck up bv a shortage of firemen. A number of "the men had left in the ordinarv way, and the difficulty experienced in getting others to fill the vacancies was such that at 4 p.m. yesterday it was thought the vessel would not get away until the morning.
