[The second Duke of Abercorn (in the peerage of Ireland) was born in 1838, and, after taking his M.A. degree at Oxford, he married Lady Mary Anna Curzon, daughter of Earl Howe, 'in 1869. He succedede to the Dukedom in 1885. Previously, from 1860 to 1880, he. had sat in the House of Commons as one of the members for County Donegal. The family eitates comprise some 26,000 acres.]
