Kowhai, s.s., docked this morning for cleaning, painting, and survey. On the. 7th she, resumes her usual running to East Coast ports, finishing at Gisborne. Zealandic, s.s., at present loading wool at Port Chalmers, leaves on Sunday morning for other Dominion loading ports, starting probably with Timaru. Hinemoa, lightship steamer, picks up at Port Chalmers this trip a number of the mark buoys used for the purpose of marking shallows in Government harbors such as Kaipara, Hokianga, etc., where no harbor boards exist. Papnroa, s.s., at present loading at the Bluff, will call at Port Chalmers in a day or two to pick up produce on her way to Northern ports. The Westport Harbor Board (says a P.A. telegram) have, agreed to charter the suction dredee Rubi Seddon to the Nelson Board for £'soo a month. The Westport Board will fake the insurance risk.
