Press Association—By Telegraph— Copyright. LONDON, January 1. (Received January 2, at 8.30 a.m.) In the House of Commons, Mr Asquith stated, in reply to a question, that Sir H. Lever (of Lever Eros., the «>ap manufacturers) had offered Stafford House to the nation on certain conditions, which the Government are now considering. Mr Moore (the member for Ulster) asked whether Mr Asquith would say how much the Government v.-ere giving .Sir H. Lever by way of concessions in West Africa. Mr Asquith remarked that the question was an improper one.
