DEATH OF GERMAN FOREIGN MINISTER

"When he, died he was on his annual visit to his sister at Stuttgart, Official and political circles are profoundly shocked. The Foreign Office was not even aware of the Minister's serious illness. LONDON, December 31. The leading papers .regret the loss sustained by European diplomacy through the death of the German Foreign Minister, and emphasise his attitude over the Balkan crisis. VENOMOUS PRESS ATTACKS. BERLIN, January 1. (Received January 2, at 8.30 a.m.) The Cologne 'Gazette' has a bitter attack on the late Minister for refusing to make wse of the Press. Jt is believed that the attack is inspired by the officials of the Foreign Office Press Bureau, who wee in-Sated over the Minister's disavowal of the anti-British material that flooded the Press during the consideration of the Supplementary Naval Bill.
