Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.
MEXICO CITY, December 21. < The Government's Teply to the United States representations is full of resentment against the Chief Secretary's (Mr Knox) charges of ill-treatment of Americans, and alleges that in many cases the Americans were themselves blameworthy. An ultimatum is now being prepared.* The Yoqui Indians massacred 1,000 persons in the San Marcial and Sonora, States, but the American quarter outside the town escaped.
