OTAGO REGATTA.

At a meeting in connection with, the above,_ held in Port Chalmers last night, an intimation was received from the Union Company that a launch would be loaned provided that certain conditions were carried out.—Mr L. R. Wilson wrote accepting the position of vice-commodore, and enclosing a donation of one guinea, which was received with thanks.—The Port Chalmers Band advised that they would be pleased to supply a programme of music, as usual.-—lt was reeolved to pay out the prize money on Friday, January 5, between 7 and 8 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Port _ Chalmers.—A large amount of detail business in connection With the regatta was transacted.
