THE SALONICA EXPLOSION. GENERAL ATTACK ON CHATALJA. WARSHIPS LAND' BLUEJACKETS. [Per Press Association.] CETTINJA, November 17. (Received November 18, at 3 p.m.) The Montenegrins have occupied San Giovanne. In the Salonica explosion 312 Turkish prisoners were killed and 430 injured. It is believed the explosion is an act of vengeance on the part of two Bulgarian band leaders, Sandansky and Mendjoff, in retaliation against the Turks for destroying their bauds. CONSTANTINOPLE, Nov. 17. The Bulgarians began a general attack on Chatalja this morning. In view of the heavy cannonade which can be heard, the foreign warships have landed bluejackets to guard the streets leading to Pera.
