CRIMINAL SITTINGS.
INVERCARGILL. The Supreme Court sittings opened today. Mr Justice Williams congratulated the district on the absence of serious crime. For making a false declaration under the Marriage Act H-enry Joseph Morris (19) wae fined £5. James Jooelyn (19> and Henry Shields (18), for breaking and entering, were each ordered three years' reformative treatment. Frederick Hansen was charged with assaulting a pirl \inder 16. The case is proceeding. This completes the criminal calendar. AUCKLAND. Annie Morahan, charged with stabbing John Inketer, was found not guilty, and wo* discharged.
