WELLINGTON DOG SHOW.
DUNEDIN'S SUCCESS. I Dunedin breeders were very successful at ! the Wellington Dcg Show, held last week. I Mr J. W. Thomson (Thomson and Co.) secured the gold medal with Rock Sand for the best wire-haired fox terrier puppy. For a non-sporting team Mr R. S. Menzie's bulldogs got first. Mr J. W. Thom- : 6on's wire-haired fox terriers were third for a brace of terriers (any variety) and [ second for a team of terriers- [any variety), jMr B. Ellis coming third. Mr R. S. Ment zie's Glenledi Curate was first in the puppy I bulldog (challenge) class. For colonial , bred bitches Mr Menzies was awarded first with Glenledi Lass, and third with Glenledi Gipsy. In the open class Glenledi Lass again carried off the first prize, while Mr Menzies eeored two more firsts—one for a brace and the other for a team. In the fox-terrier class (smooth-coated) the following prizes came to Dunedin : Junior dogs: Mr F. Rogen's St. Clair 2. Limit dogs: Mr Rogen's St. Clair 3. Stud dogs: Mr Rogen's Sardonyx 1. Novice bitches: Mr B. Ellis's Kaikorai Kilmerry 2 Puppy bitches (under six months): Mr Ellis's Kaikorai Kaimona, 2. Puppy bitches (under 12 months): Kaikorai Kilmerry 3. Junior bitches: Kaikorai Kilmerry 3. New Zealand-bred bitches : Kaikorai Kilmerry 5. Colonial-bred bitches : Kaikorai Kilmerry 3. Limit bitches : Kaikorai Kilmerry I. Bitches (open class) : Kaikorai Kilmerry 3. Brood bitches: Mr Ellis's Moreland * Motorist 1. Brace (any sex) : Mr Rogen's St. Clair and Sardonyx 1, Mr Ellis 2. Team of three: Mr Ellis 1. In the fox-terrier class (wire-haired) Mr J. W. Thomson took most of the prizes. Hk Rock Sand was first for a puppy under 12 months, and .«econd lor a junior dog. For stud dogs Mr Thomson got first with Rock Salt. For colonial-bred bitches Mr Thomson's Moreland Mistress was first, and also first in the open class. For a brace Rock Sand and Moreland Mistress were placed first, and for a team Rock Sand, Moreland Mistress, and Rock Salt carried all before them. For the Jamieson Stake, 1912 (two best wire-haired fox terriers, either sex)., Moreland Mistress and Rock Salt were placed first- and second. For the Sires' Produce- Stakes, .1912, Mr Ellis got first with Kaikorai Kilmerry (bitch puppies), and Mr Thomson first with Rock Sand (the best wire-haired fox terrier).
