ST. CLAIR GOLF CLUB.
The annual meeting of the St. Clair Golf Club, held last night, was presided over by Mr J". Lethbridge, and there was an attendance of 35 members.—the largest there has yet been at an annual meeting of the club. Much interest was taken in the election of officer-bearers for the ensuing term. The following were elected : —President, Mr T. K. Sidey, M.P. (re-elected); vicepresidents, Messrs J. G. Marshall and J. Lythbridge (re-elected); captain, Mr B. R. £tock ire-elected); deputy-captain, Mr JH. C. Bond ; committee—Messsrs L. Jardine and J. L. Hobbs (re-elected I, and Messrs J. Drake, R. Forsyth, and G. Callaway ; hon. auditor, Mr F. T. Anderson. Prizes were presented during, the evening to the following winners:—Championship cup and trophv, Mr W. D. M'Carthy; runner-up, Mr "T. H. Glendining; bogey consolation, Mr (i. Gallaway ; best gross score qualifying round, Mr J. Drake best net score qualifying round, Mr E. J. Hocking. A motion fixing an entrance fee and increasing the annual subscription by 1 guinea in the case of full members only was carried. It was explained that the expenses had been heavier during the past year th.nn before, owing to the course being a newone. A second motion formulating rules with regard to visiting players was also carried.
