MINING.
The Manuherikia Dredging Company have declared a shilling dividend. The Sailor's Be ml dredge has hauled up the river and bottomed, but there will not be any wash-up this week. The wash on the western port-ion of the working face at the Masterton claim is looking more promising. A red pipeclay bottom has come in across the greater part of the cut. The ground is becoming very tight and difficult to break down. RETURNS. Sandy Point* : 430z Bdwt, 132 hours. Good Chance : 87oz 6dwt, 160 hours. Blackwater : 31oz 18dwt.' Manuherikia : 270z. week.
