Saunders was soon dismissed. 26—3—16. (iibbes and Midlane, after playing cautiously for a while, became aggressive, Gibbes especially so, and lie was chiefly responsible for the hoisting of the century. Shortly afterwards he was beaten by Hickmott. 110—4—59. Blamires, who came next, lasted only a few minutes. 110—5—0. Mubouey joined Midiano, .and nt the luncheon adjournment the score stood at 122 for iivo wickets. Ou resuming Reese and Bennott bowled, and tho score was carried slowly to 150.
