THE DANGER OF WEEK-END CRIBS AT ST. CLAIR.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l was pleased to see in last night's ' Star ' the attitude of the St. Kilda Borough Council with regard to week-end cribs at St. Clair, and as a ratepayer of St. Kilda and a Tegident of St. Clair I very much regret the fact that these cribs have been permitted to be erected. I and others fear that they are being put up in order to cater for that class of the community who will come out to St. Clair with the usual bottle and drink their whisky and have a carouse from the Saturday till the Monday, much to the annoyance of the residents. I for one enter my'emphatic protest against these cribs going up. Let us keep St. Clair and St. Kilda respectable suburbs.I am, etc., CITIZEN. September 7.
