The Works Committee Tecommend that the offer of the Otago Presbyterian Church Board of Property to pay to the City Council the 6um of £l5O, in consideraiton of -which the council forms and metals the roadway and footways in Bridgman street, iensington, adjoining the Board's property and up to the Anderson Bay road unction, be accepted. The head masters of the various schools in the City area have been written to on the subject of the preservation of reserves and plantations, and asked to co-operate with the Council in arranging for the appoints ment of the boys in Sixth Standard as honorary rangers. The General Committee recommond that notice be served on tho owner of promises situate at Nos. 3 and 5, Walker street, in accordance with section 90 of the Public Health Act, 1908, to alter, renew, and repair such premises, in accordance with the certificate of the District Health Officer. The Library Committee recommend that the revised list submitted of newspapers and magazines proposed to be stocked in the library during the next ensuing period of 12 months be approved. The list represents a total estimated charge for subscriptions of £165, being a reduction of about £l7 10s as against last year's charge. Arrangements have been made with the District Health Officer for the disinfection, sad, where necessary, the destruction of books on issue to any occupant of premises wherein a case of infectious disease shall have occurred.
