KINDERGARTEN ASSOCIATION.
The monthly committee meeting of the Iftmedin Free Kindergarten Association was attended by' Miss Kelsey lin the chair), Mesdames Ed winds. Cameron, Johnston, Kahlemberg, liatcholor, -Oldham, Reynolds, Waddeli Smith, Ewon, Ulrich, •• Macnssey, Loudon, Hooper, and Ilcew. Miss Button's resignation of her position with the association at the end of the year was receiver! and accepted with much regret. An increased attendance was reported at all the schools. The monthly meeting of the Yaralla mothers was held in the Albany Street School Gymnasium. There were about'lß mothers present, with many babies and kindergarten children. Dr Truby King gave an exceedingly interesting lecture on the values of different' food*?, illustrating his remarks not only with easily understood diagrams, but vrith examples in kind of the 30 or 40 different foods he mentioned, ranging from barley to onions. At the close of his -lecture a* Plunket inm'o gave a demonstration on how to prepare milk for babies. Two other Plunket nurses talked to the mothers one bv one.
